In spite of alterations made to St Paul's Church since the Bohemian artist Wenceslaus Hollar made this etching around 1647, anyone familiar with the Covent Garden shopping and tourist area of London will recognize the portico of the Inigo Jones designed 1633 "actors' church".

Spent the day exploring etching with fellow artist printmakers Aimee Jones, Andy Abram, Ann Lewis, and Jane Evans. A new process to me and one that I thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely return to. Happy to come away with this 10 x 10 cm piece.

I'm John, a #printmaker specialising in copper and brass plate #etching. Until this summer (2022) I was based in the North East of England but have recently moved to a village a few miles south of #Edinburgh, #Scotland. Most of my #printmaking is of local landscapes and architecture.
