that feeling when you go to change out one (1) not even broken just not quite right thing and end up designing a replacement part you need _eight_ of because literally every one of the existing ones disintegrates when you touch it

Griddle (my 3D printer - shout out to The Locked Tomb series) printed up a dozen Oreo cookie fidgets overnight! These are super cool, they slip and slide and rotate in your hand.

Oooh, now *that* is a nicely calibrated bed level. #3DPrinting
I'd love some input from the #3dprinting community here. I got an issue with probably misaligned layers on my Ender 5 Plus. I replaced the brass nuts on Z but that did nothing. Belts feel reasonably tight, nothing feels wobbly. What could I try next?

I really love how it comes together. Tried out some rust effect for the metal parts on the models and lots of wash to dirty some up more. Especially the metallics. #BloodBowl #Nerdlings #3dPrinting #MiniaturePainting #PaintingMiniatures
So I’m having a bit of a #3dPrinting conundrum.
I swapped out my #SV08 nozzle assembly for the SOVOL hardened steel model. I’ve run hardened steel for years on other printer - just up the printing temp by 5c and go.
SOVOL recommends printing PLA at 245, which seems way hot. At that temp I’m getting charred spots but it is printing relatively normally. At the top end of the material (230c), the 0.6 line width is printing closer to 0.45mm, so massive under extrusion.
Thoughts?

Just realized I've been printing with brim for so long, I'd forgotten that printing without it is an option...
I built a case for my classic Macintosh support Pi. It holds a Pi Zero, a WaveShare Ethernet/USB hat, and a Tash Talk 2 hat for LocalTalk.

My teenage kids this afternoon when they saw the new table decoration I printed: "Seriously, why, Dad?" Because! Now go back to your rooms! :-) (action figure for size comparison) #3dprinting for fun!

Had to laugh when I opened this spool of #BambuLab TPU. Maybe they were having a muck-up day at the factory? I've never seen a *brand new* spool of anything look like hastily-coiled spaghetti.
Hopefully there's no hard crossovers in there - I guess I'll find out when I go to print something?
Today in my #3dprinting life: new filament, new problems.
Printing with #elegoo filament is showing off these gnarly layer lines. All the test towers failed to show the why.
Printed this adorable little mini fidget cube today…
I looked at my filament and thought, “what colours should I use?” … and then I saw the matte orange and white and immediately thought of creamsicle popsicles!
Done. I printed it. I love it.
