I am experiencing Satisfaction due to how well the little harp animation syncs up with the music. #gamedev #chiptune #gloryinthethunder #screenshotsaturday

Here’s Beast TV

A game I made in a week for the I, REBEL Atari Game Jam. Spec: “Create a game Jeff Minter will love”, theme: “A Perfect Beast”. I used the pre-release version of #Picotron to make a version of Robotron / Llamatron. This update also benefits from a week of bug-fixing & polish.
Only part of the HUD that's actually functional right now is the portrait swap, when you draw your sword and switch from defense to attack mode. Hoping to eventually do portraits for all the possible player states. Want to draw her smacking into walls!
Started implementing the HUD for the goblin girl game. Revised the look of my original mockup design so it'd better match the pen and paper look I have planned for the equipment menus.
New version on left. Old mockup on right.

Not so much a "screenshot" as a "screen-two-minutes-of-cinematography", but... well, I've finished a rather pivotal cutscene for Glory in the Thunder. #gloryinthethunder #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #pixelart #rpg

Added light switches for #OpenCrystalCaves. The OG #CrystalCaves did this cleverly: being limited to the EGA palette, they did a palette swap, changing lights to darks and darks to blacks, resulting in this atmospheric cave-like effect that is quite effective. But we're not limited to EGA today which means we have the option to try an even better monochrome palette!
Check it out - you can swap between the two in game with the spacebar!

New illumination / fog / lighting experiments for Timothy and the Mysterious Forest DX
There's emotion portraits on all dialogue now. And I'm finally adding more scenes instead of figuring out how to refine everything with the first scene. #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #gloryinthethunder
Long time since my last #screenshotsaturday for the goblin girl game! Been busy with pixel art contracts and biz/admin busywork, but finally starting to add the first enemies.
Here's a little peek at some of Jenn's pencils for a future page! Zyr's back, and we'll be meeting new friends! #ScreenShotSaturday
The next Shattered Pixel Dungeon update has variety of smaller changes, including four new badges to earn! Each is a specific challenge, ranging from using the environment to defeat enemies, to surviving the ascent without killing any enemies.
Another take on highlighting navigable areas. Tried to add an outline so that the style is consistent with the rest of the game.
The outline is always 2px wide, computed using shader derivatives.
Working on roof tiles for my cozy town building game. Really happy about how the tiles adapt to roof shape and the detail it adds. Next I’ll look at creating some color variation and fix some remaining issues and details. #screenshotsaturday
