Yes I dumped #expressvpn months ago for #Proton which actually works as well if not better and is European.
Sounds like you can now pay to have all your data sent through Israeli intelligence if that’s what does it for you.

In this interview, TechNadu presents updates from ExpressVPN’s Chief Research Officer, Dr. Peter Membrey(@pmembrey).
Dr. Membrey discussed the creation of Lightway, VPNs transitioning from standalone apps to essential components of digital infrastructure, and the passion for solving problems as a compass that guides one’s career path.
He elaborated on his experience with quantitative analysis, VPNs being a piece of a larger privacy puzzle, and making an impact instead of merely building products.
In this interview, read expert insights from Dr. Peter Membrey about:
Transitioning from incremental improvements to creating something that offers constant connectivity
Reasons behind rewriting ‘Lightway’ in Rust from the C programming language
Posting the largest bug bounty ($100,0000 USD) in the history of the Bugcrowd platform that remains unclaimed so far

#startpage blocks me because I am on #expressvpn ( I am using their #aircove #vpnrouter for the house which is great). This sort of nonsense is the reason we need proper networks and not this. How can an automated checker block a normal family use of a search website ? We need other things. They even asked me for my email address (voluntary field) ... this is potty. I like startpage but did not realise this would happen.

@cyberlyra Please read up on #ExpressVPN... they were bought by a spyware vendor run by ex-IDF people. Also, TunnelBear is owned by McAfee, a company that gets a very large share of their revenue from government contracts.

I've kicked off the new year by deleting my Insta, Facebook, and Threads accounts. And about a month ago, I deleted by Twitter account. I'm leaving up my bluesky account *for now* but I'm eyeing it suspiciously. #linkedin will stay, because I find it indispensable for my career.
As an added bonus, I can't access bluesky from my laptop because https://bsky.app/ is apparently inaccessible through #expressvpn so I *have* to use the Android app.

And VPN switched away from #Israel -i owned #ExpressVPN.

Only way I could get a wired #LAN #printer to work & use a #vpn reliably is to use an #expressVPN #aircove router. I put the printer outside the vpn in its own so-called "group". That way VPN not off when printing. Before, when the home router was not a VPN router, one had to disconnect from one's VPN app (#protonVPN) before printing and so the VPN was off when printing and then often stayed off if one forgot to reconnect.
Is there a simple way to LAN print without a VPN router & stay in VPN?
Now I have the #aircove #expressvpn #router I post the #instructions in case it helps someone else
#aircove #expressvpn #router #wifi #printing #brother #mfcl3770cdw on #nixos
0) Activate WiFi printing on printer (disables previous wired LAN connection, cannot have both)
1) enter new #ipaddress of the printer by adapting the #configurationdotnix (IP address shown on printer settings screen & web browser dashboard expressvpnrouter.com)
2) drag & drop printer into the so-called "group" "No VPN"
3) enjoy printing
Had set aside the whole afternoon 4 this but now can do the washing up instead.
How to Set Up #ExpressVPN on a #Router So All Your Devices Are Secured at Once
Your #VPN doesn't always have to run on your phone or laptop. You can guard everything in your home from prying eyes.

@devalot OK. I forgot that all things are done via confguration.nix
I am a real newbie at this. Was following the #linux #expressVPN instructions on-line which are never for #nixOS Thanks a million!
#expressvpn apparently not supported on #tails
says the help chat
(which did not work on #linux - had to use my apple to get the chat to work BYW)
I put the package #expressvpn into my #nixos #configuratoindotnix file. When I run the command line command
expressvpn activate
I get errors as shown in the image.
Anyone manage to get expressVPN working in nixOS ?
#expressVPN on #linux
I cannot activate the #VPN on #tails 6.9 #tails69 #Debian
- after entering my #activationcode nothing happens, the same as this https://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?331106-Can-t-Activate-VPN&p=1875093
Anyone have a solution? Thanks.
