Thankfully that's a Saturday, because I will probably need a fair bit of tinkering on my desktop since I use it for coding, video encoding and sometimes games, so there are many things that can be affected.</p><p>I've been running it on my laptop for a while, which is less demanding, so it looks fine. Debacle<p>I like to use <a href="https://framapiaf.org/tags/run0" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>run0</span></a> instead of <a href="https://framapiaf.org/tags/sudo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>sudo</span></a>, but encounter problems, when having more than one user in the sudo group:</p><p>1. Minor, but annoying: On the shell, I always must choose which identity should be used. Can't it just assume the current login?</p><p>2. Opening a file in <a href="https://framapiaf.org/tags/Emacs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Emacs</span></a> with the run0 <a href="https://framapiaf.org/tags/TRAMP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TRAMP</span></a> method hangs. Ruben ~ Kedara.eu<p>I've been using <a href="https://kedara.social/tags/debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Debian</span></a> for a couple of weeks now, combined with <a href="https://kedara.social/tags/xfce" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Xfce</span></a>. It's really quite snappy.<br><br>Before, I used Fedora with KDE, but the system used to break without warning after updates or installing new packages. So I spent the last few weeks reinstalling everything and restoring my backups 😅<br><br>That was probably my fault, but for me, Debian is really living up to its solid reputation. It allows me to focus on stuff that's more interesting to me. The <a href="https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/PINE64_PinePhone_(pine64-pinephone)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">PmOS wiki page</a> looks promising,, so does the <a href="https://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn/PINE64/PinePhone" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Debian wiki (which was my main phone OS back then)</a> but I am unsure how well this is maintained.
