"This project from The Maple’s opinion editor, Davide Mastracci, aims to provide people in Canada with this information about as many of their fellow Canadians as possible. Taken together, the 85 profiles created for this project offer insight into what the typical background of a Canadian who has served in the Israeli military may be. This project defines “Canadian” as someone who is a Canadian citizen, and/or has lived in Canada for a significant amount of time, and/or currently lives in Canada. "

Yeah, it’s official.

Fuck off #BernieSanders & #AOC.
You’re not rallying for us, you’re doing outreach for your #nazi party.

If you’ve abandoned #Palestine, you’re not on the #left. You’re an op, even if you don’t know it yet.

But #Sanders knows better. He just never cared about Palestine. Fuck em.

ZoomWelcome! You are invited to join a webinar: Power Half-Hour for Gaza: Channel grief & outrage into action to stop a genocide. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar. Now into the second year of genocide in Gaza, we are overwhelmed with sorrow and outrage. There are no words to describe the devastating pain of the past year in which the Israeli military has killed over 48000 Palestinians in Gaza, including more than 20,000 children. We know these numbers are not accurate - thousands more are being found under the rubble and so many more will perish due to lack of treatment, medicine, food, water and shelter. The International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court have both declared that Israel must stop the genocidal acts being committed on the Palestinian people. And the U.S. government is actively supporting the Israeli military as it wreaks devastation on the over 2 million Palestinians in Gaza threatening the fragile ceasefire agreement. Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and B'Tselem have declared that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people of Gaza. We continue to come together as a political community in our daily half-hour to take action for the 15 months and going forward we will continue Monday through Thursday. Join us as we take collective action to demand an arms embargo to Israel, immediate end to the genocide, a lasting ceasefire and an end to Israeli siege, apartheid, occupation, and oppression of Palestinians and Lebanon. All are welcome. All are needed.

„In Gaza, we are not just witnessing a humanitarian crisis. We are watching the moral fabric of international institutions unravel. The West, the UN, the entire system built to uphold human dignity—they’ve failed. Worse, they’ve revealed that perhaps they were never truly committed to those values when it mattered most.“

Because a significant portion of the regime's fascist efforts to crush dissent revolves around their fact-free declaration that opposing a US-backed genocide in Gaza, being conducted by Israel, is actually antisemitism (and also a foreign policy matter that is beyond regulation due to presidential powers over foreign affairs), the ruling class establishment that supported that genocide even when it belonged to Biden, has a vested interest in presenting Jewish Americans as a unified bloc standing in opposition to anti-genocide protestors in support of Israel and the Zionist agenda. After all, the narrative that all of this monstrous bullshit is being done to protect Jewish people falls apart very quickly once you realize that vast numbers of American Jews are actively against all this fascist, genocidal bullshit; so that latter fact has to be kept from the American public, lest they become wise to the reality that this is all just a propaganda op to justify arms sales, genocide, and fascist repression of folks ideological opposed to the regime.

The reality however, is quite different from the picture you're allowed to see on television; Jewish Americans are actually massively overrepresented in the anti-genocide protest movement, and a vibrant, growing collage of Jewish left organizations are risking the personal safety of their members to vigorously oppose a fascist regime and say, quite directly, that not only are the regime's actions putting Jewish people in danger, they will not allow genocide, deportations, and fascist repression to be conducted "in their name."

For more about this hidden, but not secret story, let's turn to this deep dive by Shane Burley into the rise of Jewish left resistance in America to settler colonial occupation, genocide, and the fascist Trump regime's attempts to deport student protestors under the guise of combatting antisemitism:

Jewish Organizations Are Fighting Back Against Khalil Deportation

“This year, all over the U.S., Jews are holding emergency Passover Seders calling for the release of Mahmoud Khalil and an end to the criminalization of all those calling for an end to the Israeli government’s genocide of the Palestinian people,” JVP said as it announced the action. This seder is part of a long tradition of using Jewish rituals as a protest tactic, uniting the prophetic spiritual tradition of Judaism with the practical strategies of physical resistance and blockade. This action, offered with relatively short notice and promising to mobilize huge numbers of Jews and allies, is the result of the relationships that have been built across Jewish organizations as they try to confront the repression coming in Trump’s second term.

“We’re building a new coalition right now. Because not all of us have been in the same space together,” Lily Greenberg Call, a member of the New York City chapter of the Jewish anti-Occupation group IfNotNow, called into a megaphone on March 20. “But it is more important than ever now to reach for each other and unite for our communities and our neighbors who are under attack,” she told the thousand people who had flooded the streets of lower Manhattan, the historic home of the U.S. Jewish left. “People in this city have been abducted, separated from their families, thrown in detention camps, and threatened with deportation.”

Frankly, I don't really have a lot to add here because speaking for Jewish Americans who oppose fascism being conducted in their name really isn't my lane. Burley's extensive documentation of how Jewish resistance groups are banding together all across the country is however informative, and enlightening given a media environment where even critics of the Trump regime who still support genocidal Zionist objectives in Gaza are unprepared to report on that resistance. The obvious reality here is that no matter what the ADL says, a fascist regime stacked to the brim with antisemite nazis, doesn't give a flying fuck about combatting antisemitism, and fully intends to use the mere existence of Jewish people and antisemitism in our society, as the spear point for their transformation of America into an over fascist dictatorship - and that's a story, you just won't hear on the Six O'clock News.

The advocacy group IfNotNow, held a protest October 19, 2023, outside the Los Angeles Brentwood, California, home of then-Vice President Kamala Harris.

The US has approved a new shipment of thousands of bombs for the Israeli Air Force, Hebrew media outlets reported.

Israel is also expected to receive over 10,000 more bombs in the coming months to refill its stocks.

This new arms deal aims to complement a shipment of US MK84 bombs from early this year, when US President Donald Trump unfroze a delivery that had been placed on hold by the former administration in Washington.

Israeli air strikes targeted an UNRWA flour distribution centre surrounded by tents housing forcibly displaced Palestinians in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza.

The UN facility played a crucial role in providing food aid, which is under severe strain in the enclave as a result of Israel's continued siege and closure of all crossings into the Strip.

A medic has been killed in an Israeli missile strike on a hospital in Gaza, just as Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu was making a visit to the war-torn territory.

The attack on Tuesday came two days after another major hospital was targeted, fuelling warnings from the UN that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is now the worst it has been since conflict began.

The latest strike hit the entrance to the Kuwaiti field hospital in al-Muwasi.

We salute you on the eve of International Workers’ Day.

We raise to you the voice of Gaza’s workers, who today stand at the forefront of confronting the most heinous forms of genocide, siege, and starvation, imposed on our people for decades and continuing to this day with direct support from the U.S. administration under Donald Trump, and previous administrations, in blatant violation of all humanitarian and international laws.

With US support, UAE proxy militias in Yemen are planning a ground offensive to take the port city of Hodeidah from the Ansarallah-led Yemeni government and armed forces, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on 15 April, in a move that would reignite the country’s devastating civil war.

The ground offensive seeks to take advantage of the recent US bombing campaign targeting the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF).
