#Modular #Stencil System For 3.5"x5.5" #PocketNotebooks (#FieldNotes, #Moleskine, & Others)
This is an extension to my full-sized stencils for 3.5x5.5-inch #pocketJournals. This lets you add regular/wide ruled lines, dots, grids, tables, etc as you like in blank notebooks.

These 3.5x5.5 #journal / #notebook stencils are also on #TinkerCAD, where you can tinker them into things that fit your needs:
Browning BL22 – Test plates to check the bolt closure (misfires)
The misfires in the Browning BL-22 were caused by a locking plate that was no longer within the correct dimensions. This issue is well documented on this website. At one point, I 3D printed a few test plates, which made it easy to measure and determine the proper dimensions needed to eliminate the excess…

*Boggles the designer mind to have so many tweekable models to play with!
*Including a #braille font where you type in the English, and it generates the braille for it!
**Yes. It is an old feature - but it has been filled up a lot lately.
9 years ago I printed this replacement handle for a food blender jug but it broke yesterday but the file was still in my #TinkerCAD designs so now re-printing a new one :)
Okay so if I roundtrip the object through STL and reimport it as a monolithic object, I can cut into it. Which makes sense, but YOU NEVER KNOW
oh this is so fucking weird I mean what
oooooh I do not like finding CAD bugs

Moved on from #Tinkercad to #OpenSCAD for more complex modeling for #3dprinting. With the script-only based modelling and the instant feedback 3d viewer I immediately felt home .
I think OpenSCAD is especially strong for "parametric design" projects. In addition there are a bunch of great libraries e.g. BOSL2 for standard parts and helpers, also plenty of great scripts around on printables like this Parametric Hinge script:
The noise in my head would be significantly reduced if I mastered CAD. Because so far, I’m doing the Smart EV conversion battery case design solely in my head, in 2D and in a spreadsheet. Going from 2D design proficiency to 3D is surprisingly frustrating. #FreeCad makes me want to crawl up in a corner. Now trying #OnShape, #tinkercad and #Fusion360.
Hey #3dprinting folks,
by requirements outgrow the capabilities of #tinkercad as a #cad tool.
Which #foss can you recommend for a CAD beginner to start with and learn cad modeling for 3d-printing?
@blainsmith I'll give that a go but what I'm really after is the equivalent of what #TInkerCAD is to .stl creation :)
Cat owners will understand.
