My first post on Mastodon.
Hi everyone! I'm new to Mastodon and the Fediverse in general; I decided to join it as part of my recent interest in free, open-source, decentralized, and federated software! You can get some quick facts about me on my profile page.
Besides Discord, I haven't used microblogging or image/video/story sharing and reposting social media in several years, which I all quit because it was too addicting for me and was making me miserable when comparing my "boring" life to my friends' seemingly fun and eventful lives. I'm not sure what I'll be posting here, but since I'm planning to leave Discord in the near future, I guess microblogging personal thoughts, experiences, and takes regarding my various interests in otaku culture (such as anime, manga, visual novels, Japanese music, figure collection, etc...), VTubers and other content creators, gaming, and my ongoing pursuit of better privacy, anonymity, and security online, that I usually share in the servers with my online friends and acquaintances. I guess we'll have to see, but I look forward to using this page as my own "corner of the internet", a place where I can just talk about the things I like (or don't like).
