Například u videa oni mají pří mém nastavení rozlišení a prohlížeče 10 položek, ale Duck 70 aniž bych musel stránku s výsledky posouvat.

Good alternatives to google, duckduckgo a.s.o. are listed here (german): kuketz-blog.de/empfehlungsecke

I switched to startpage.com/ (Netherlands) today as i saw that duckduck.go has an "ai" feature ("Popular AI models from: GPT, Claude, Mistral, Llama") now too.

"Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or otherwise unreliable." "Outputs may be offensive." "If you break the law or violate these Terms when using Duck.ai and we get sued, you may have to take responsibility." 🤓

I've been using #DuckDuckGo for search for years. Haven't used Google in ages. Recently they announced a "noai" version of their search engine at noai.duckduckgo.com/. Basically it omits any AI summary, and if you search for images it has the AI images already filtered out. That's about it.

I set it up as my search engine in Firefox (see screenshot). One thing I notice is that it is feels faster. I swear I get my results quicker.

came across a nice browser add-on that disables the generation of AI overviews in search engines like duckduckgo: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firef

super useful if you don't keep site data across sessions or if you mostly browse in private windows.

for firefox / librewolf / whatever.

addons.mozilla.orgDisable AI – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-US)Download Disable AI for Firefox. Don't just hide results. Disable AI overviews on Brave Search, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, Google, and Qwant so your searches consume less energy and water.

Sounded like some good features are being added to the #DuckDuckGo browser, so I opened it again on iOS and loaded a test page (CNA news). User settings are set to max #privacy, but DDG still loaded 12 "third party requests," which were mainly analytics and advertising cookies. Sorry DDG, you're still not acting at all like you have "best privacy" in mind. #tech
