I've trialed #Kagi for its first 100 searches. Now that it asks me to move to a paid plan, I'm wondering: is it really worth the €10 a month or should I just stick with #DuckDuckGo? Its feature set is essentially the same as far as I can see and DDG runs an ethical business model with a strong emphasis on privacy as well.

It's kind of crazy how #DuckDuckGo went from being the subpar search engine you put up with because it wasn't Google or Microsoft to becoming a legit better experience and it's mainly because of how insane the ad and AI pollution has gotten.

@thelinuxEXP To add a custom search engine in Firefox, create a new entry in about:config
browser.urlbar.update2.engineAliasRefresh
and set it to true.
You will get new add and edit buttons in search parameters.
Then go to this duckduckgo page to tweak url parameters to your licking.

Brave Search is not there yet, but is not entirely unusable, either.
DuckDuckGo, which uses Bing's results, is far gives far more relevant and accurate results.
Brave gets especially worse with Image search. 
On the other hand, in terms of feature parity, Brave is the leader.
It has all kinds of live data like, Sports (Basketball, Cricket, Football, Murican Football, etc.), Financial data (Stock prices, Indices, Currencies & exchange rates), An AI chatbot which can browse the internet, too, etc.
For now, my default will be DDG, but will use Brave on my secondary browser. Let's see

The first thing that comes to mind is #DuckDuckGo. I know that while they do have their own index, they rely largely on Bing #search results. They'll either need to expand their first party indexer, or partner with somebody like #Brave search.

The mobile browser #DuckDuckGo has an interesting feature. It can use its web #tracking protection also for tracking by other apps. App tracking protection is not on by default in the settings. When you turn it on, you will be amazed about how much personal information your apps try to send to tracking companies. I uninstalled an app which did 2500 tries per day.
