I'm learning so much from patience.
Difficult people who don't necessarily agree with the way I live, teach me a lot of patience.
It just started raining and my food fell to the ground. I'm grateful the the little bit of food I was able to salvage. Paper bags do not work Next time I'll make sure to carry a reusable bag in my back pack.
Lessons are opportunities to learn and grow. They come in all forms. Just now my lesson came in me dropping my food on the ground.
I'm blessed!

I'm very honoured to be among this year's NWO (Dutch Research Council) Veni research grant recipients, for my proposal "Finding Variables that Matter"!
I cannot quite believe it, but I'm excited to get started on the actual research.
Many congratulations to all of my colleagues who received their Veni grants. Over the last few months, I was lucky enough to get to know them and their research, and I can't wait to see what they do with the funds.
I'm grateful to Delft University of Technology and all my colleagues and trainers for their support and trust. The Veni application process was part of my life for almost a year. Could not have done it without their encouragement and wisdom. Many thanks also to NWO and all reviewers and committee members!

The new options on clicking a hashtag are too much. Intrusive, blocking, extra steps.
Steps to drive hashtagging, and steps to give access to features, yes. But this is not an improvement. Maybe a way to turn it off?
Wow… I’m completely blown away!
My online gallery has officially surpassed 3.7 million visits! That is just crazy — in the best way possible. I’m so excited, so honored, and incredibly grateful.
You all are amazing. Your support, encouragement, and love for art continue to inspire me every single day.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
#grateful for Bill Atkinson and #HyperCard
HyperSchool is a HyperCard application for schools to do scheduling, attendance, and grades.
It includes thousands of lines of #HyperTalk code, plus some
C code to interface to a scantron machine and to do simulated annealing

I'm incredibly #grateful that honing my patience & being unwilling to date anyone who didn't meet my basic quality companion standards, has finally paid off.
I'd been devalued, dehumanized & traumatized by NT white guy partners (and their super colonial/bigoted family members) in the past & didn't want to make same personal choice errors for companionship in my present life. Especially after recovering from those past relationship traumas, regaining my self worth & promising to myself that I'd never discount myself for anyone, ever again. I promised myself that I'd wait & be open to a new intimate companionship, only if the person met my basic standards, is an open & honest communicator, isn't an ableist, respects who I am fully & completely & understands/supports my lifelong commitment to being an active humanitarian - with deep needs to contribute to community works.
I feel my patience & personal adherence to my core values, has rewarded me with an amazing connection to a fellow creative & big hearted NT mixed Indigenous man, who always tells me how much he appreciates my presence in his life & how he loves all my quirks/oddities. I feel truly valued, just for who I am, quirks n all
I am glowing with joyful feelings

#3GoodThings or quite a bit more actually.
Lately things are going quite good for me personally.
1) For my education in animal assisted intervention I'm writing a paper about animal assisted climate communication, combining two of my passions. And I think it will be really good.
2) I want to work in animal assisted education later, but since animal assisted intervention is more of an advanced education I want to get a basic education in education too. My plan is to start both social education and environmental education in the fall. Social education is, I believe, the thing that most people working in animal assisted education have in their curriculum, so it's probably a good thing to have, while environmental education is rather rare, so it might give me an edge for job applications. But mostly I'm just convinced that both will teach me a lot of great skills and knowledge.
3) I've started taking my dog Platon to work (personal assistance for a woman with MS) and since its going well I think I can take him with me every time in the future and that means I can work more (because my mom can't always take Platon) and might finally get out of the monthly red numbers that I'm in for many years now.
4) We're also close to getting the house ready to rent out a few rooms for a little side-money.
That will be another relief financially, but mostly I hope it will mean I have some cool roommates. And maybe some people who can take Platon sometimes.
5) I came out of a depression more than a year ago and kept still taking one of the meds, as its supposed to help the brain get used to how the internal chemistry should be. But it really messed with my memory. Now that spring is coming I'm reducing and eventually getting rid of the medication and I can already tell that my memory is getting a bit better again.
6) I randomly met a friend from school the other day and we started going on walks together regularly and have great talks. That's a kind of friendship I've been missing for a long time.
7) I'm quite proud of what we accomplished at the lately. We finished 2024 almost in the black figures, finally created an account (https://fedi.at/@FediverseFoundation), are regularly posting on our blog (https://fediverse.foundation/en/blog/) and will launch a Pixelfed server tomorrow (https://instapix.org). I'm excited!
8-99) (My memory still isn't great, so I probably forgot a few things)
Feeling grateful for the amazing support from everyone here!
It's heartwarming to see so much kindness. Unfortunately, there's a tiny exception – my ex, who's resorted to creating fake accounts just to harass me.
Your positivity outweighs the negativity by far though! Let's keep spreading love and blocking the haters.
With that drink, lunch was delectable - miso ramen with some pork belly slices 'chasu'.
Used fresh not dried noodles for this and it was ok I thought, but Kid2 man what a stickler ("it's good noodles, but it's not ramen").
A decadent #lunch and meal nonetheless. #Grateful for this life and as partner pointed out, in the comfort of home and pajamas even.

@lps @FediTips Thank you for a starting point!
One more question: Any idea where to look for mastodon #iOS app advanced search operators? Search results have not only not been few but also not relevant.
Especially #grateful to the fellow fediverse folk who #tag posts and #caption images - every small improvement in #accessibility & #usability creates fertile ground for normalizing #searchability !
