I'm looking for a junior to intermediate developer to work with us to empower everyone to become professional video network operators.

It's on-site, 4 days a week.

I'm specifically looking to onboard someone to our React frontend.

React experience (or even frontend experience) is not a hard requirement.

If you want to learn more about the company itself, check it out here gooseott.com/en/home-en/

And please DM me if you're interested.

Goose · What is Goose? - GooseGoose is an easy, secure and cost-free OTT solution. Create your own streaming app and monetize your video content without third parties or limitations. Suppliers and Operators Easily create your own OTT streaming platform and offer your subscribers live or video on demand (VOD) content.

Is your company looking for a keen self-hoster with plenty of #Linux experience? I grew up with #RaspberryPi and have picked up many skills along the way including #React, backend JavaScript (#NodeJS) and #Docker. My current obsession is monitoring all the things with #Grafana, #PRTG and #Prometheus. I’m based in the UK but open to primarily English-speaking roles in Germany, too. Currently wrapping up my Advanced Software Development degree but eager to continue learning! Boosts appreciated :D

A: "Hey I just noticed that on your website, feature X doesn't work"
B: "Oh really? Thanks for reporting we'll fix that"

a: "Hey I just noticed that on your website, feature X doesn't work for #screenreader users and hasn't for over a year"
B: "It's very important to us and is on our roadmap, thanks for reporting baii"

If you work in, or need, #accessibility you'll be intimately familiar with this frankly embarrassing situation. If you're a #developer, let this be your trigger to educate yourself on the doubtless extensive docs your UI toolkit of choice (yes, that includes #react and #html) maintains on accessibility so you don't have to send that response and make a human being feel like they don't belong to society, because there's a non-zero chance that's EXACTLY how someone might read such a dismissal. I woke up to three such emails today and I think I'm done with advocacy today before even starting my day. Shit's depressing as all fuck. How's your day? :)

🚀 Exciting News! We're launching #LibreUI, a free software project for a copy-paste component library in #React, focusing on accessibility and mobile responsiveness.

Hey #FediHire , meet @Dominicd3213

He's an embedded systems and #fullstack #developer who loves making machines move and websites work. By day, he wires up #Robots with ROS 2, #arduino and LIDAR; by night, he wrangles #react #TypeScript and #MongoDB into sleek, responsive interfaces. Built #AI chat tools, and co-founded a trading platform.

He lives where code meets circuits, and believes great tech should be powerful and weird.

Anyone need a bright young guy like this?

Software innovation might be freezing in place—and AI could be to blame. Theo Browne points out that Copilot and ChatGPT often return React-style code even for Solid or Elixir projects. Why? Because they’ve seen React a million times more. Python 3 took a decade to overtake Python 2. If that transition had to happen today, would our dependence on AI suggestions keep us from making the jump?

⚛️ Why React Is No Longer the Undisputed Champion of JavaScript • thenewstack.io

「 React was born at a time when browsers were inconsistent and JavaScript was the only reliable way to deliver interactive experiences. But modern browsers have matured. APIs like form.submit(), fetch, Web Components, and View Transitions API mean we can build compelling experiences without reaching for a component framework every time 」

🌘 GitHub - paper-design/shaders:零依賴性 Canvas Shader 程式庫
➤ 簡化網頁特效的實現,為設計師與開發者帶來更多可能性
github.com/paper-design/shaders

I'm excited to share our new NotificationBanner! 🎉 It has variants like Success ✅, Info 📝, Error 🚨, and more.

As I build new components, I've been thinking about design decisions. I'm writing a document that outlines my thoughts on creating a cohesive and user-friendly component library 📚.

Stay tuned for updates, and I'll share my design philosophy soon! 🚀
