Anyone? Is the kind of thing that could automatically poison all uploads to Mastodon? As soon as its uploaded, Mastodon poisons it for training?

I seem to remember in the post about the NEW Mastodon 4.4 -- that they had put in much of the scaffolding for Quote Posts, but not the actuators. (Or words to that effect, wording is my weird choices)
If my memory is correct that explains your findings well, if my memory is made up, there is a different problem.

The navigation bar at the bottom of #Mastodon
in a browser is an obvious good. Thanks to #coders.
Fix needed.
Floating action of the bar is unneeded, possibly a glitch, obscures text, but worst it makes Editing a post on a phone impossible.
Impossible. It jumps up and covers the three dot menu.
Even liking a comment on a post is impossible.
And lastly, please, get rid of "pre-select for deletion" in edit window, so very annoying and frustrating.
The new options on clicking a hashtag are too much. Intrusive, blocking, extra steps.
Steps to drive hashtagging, and steps to give access to features, yes. But this is not an improvement. Maybe a way to turn it off?

Welcome. There us no algorithm putting your posts into eyes.
Engagement on Mastodon is by hashtags. Make new hashtags, find well.used ones.
After typing a # Mastodon will the you the number of users for the hashtag.
For example if you type - #usp - Mastodon will say 1.9k under highlight meaning almost two thousand recent posts with rhe US politics hashtag "#uspoli"
Zooming in to see small stuff on Mastodon is a glitchy experience.

You can zoom a post with an image by pinch, but clicked images cannot be zoomed.
Also zoomed posts (unclicked) are terribly unstable and will scroll wildly without warning.
I am deeply grateful for mastodon code and instances, this is communication on continued development of a wonderful platform.

I suggested earlier post that coders write an app for browsers that shows the price of Trumps Tariff Taxes on all rhe things.
Many wrote back saying it would be too hard because constantly changing Trump babble and policy changes.
Here is another path, have the app check prices for the product on other nations Amazon's and subtract the difference in real.time. and
That's the Trump Tax
