Sometimes I see @alternativeto pushing quite a lot of commercial software and wonder about the perceived shift of perspective.

#CAD #CAM for example: Artsoft's Mach3 & Mach4 are listed separately as controllers, but not the #FreeSoftware #OpenSouce alternative #UGS?! Even #YouTube is better in the case of #CNC since the existence of #UniversalGCODEsender isn't censored (like covid).

Please, stop the progress of #enshitification and save the much appreciated website with more #GPL alternatives. TY

Guten Morgen #Fediverse !
Diese Nacht lange gebinged (Mord auf Shetland) und deshalb heute bis kurz vor 9 rumgeduselt. Kater Peter wollte mich ab 6 Uhr wecken aber ich hab mich tot gestellt.
Hier auf #Balkonien sinds knackige 8,5°C bei leichtem Nieselregen. Endlich. So könnte es mMn nach bis Dienstag weitergehen.
Ja, ich bin kein guter Mensch. Atheist halt🤷🏻‍♂️
Werde mich gleich wieder an mein #RasPi-#Cam 'Projekt' setzen. Btw. ne Cam per Terminal steuern, gehts noch?

The surveillance camera (which I've been wanting to get rid of for a while) is now offering me a subscription to send me processed alerts via LLM, describing what is happening. It's already been problematic for a while to view the videos, filled with ads and limited to 5 seconds, and now they want to be paid and not even let me watch the videos anymore...

Each year on the Friday before the FOSDEM event, FreeCAD has held one of it’s “FreeCAD Days” where, after working for a few days directly on FreeCAD in a hackathon style, the day is set up as an Un-conference meaning any presentation or activity can be attached to the agenda. It’s a lovely format that allows for really interesting things to happen.
