Just finished Trails in the Sky the 3rd. It was a very nice side story/epilogue to the previous game.
I think what I will do now is play something completely different as "palette cleanser" and pick back up some other games I have been neglecting.
After that I will start on Trails from Zero!
There's something I find satisfyingly nostalgic about a pixel art RPG where your head pokes out as a little half-sprite when you walk through the forest on the overworld map.

Jesus fuck. Just make games and make the combat system that makes sense for that game. This isn’t rocket science. If you have a creative turn-based idea, use it. If you have a cool action combat idea, use that. Just make sure it makes sense for the game.
