Hi! Here's a quick illustration I've done for a friend who wanted to surprise their partner with a voucher for a ride on a historic tractor.

I think this is my first time ever drawing a beaver ^__^

Auto-horizon explained in one picture.

This adds an extra hydraulic cylinder on one side of the three point hitch that is electronically controlled to regulate the attachment to be always level with the horizon, no matter how tilted the tractor is.

Kubota calls theirs "Monroematic". Our Iseki has it too, not sure what it's called there, the computer translates it with "horizontal rotary".

Pretty cool stuff for the 1970s. Revolutionary in working flooded rice fields, which is why most grey import Japanese tractors have it.

I swear the next "restored" #tractor I work on where the entire wiring loom and connectors have been painted will probably involve me tracking down the "restorer" and inserting their compressor and spray gun up their posterior.

Bonus mystery switch that doesn't seem to do anything, twisted together wires where they are open to the elements and a dashboard assembly that won't come out without removing the steering column because the throttle lever fouls it.

Iseki finally got that well deserved wash. Also a new alternator belt, so no more screeching.

Love the engine access here. Top hinges up, side panels just lift out to get access to everything. Nobody appreciates good engine access like a former sailboat owner!

Drying off now, then time for some fresh grease.

Busy day getting more firewood from the barn and moving snow around. Had to put the battery charger on the old ‘97 Kubota and take the rake implement off the rear. Quite cold for the ancient battery.
