Whenever I touch #SonicPi it's the same 3 steps within 2 hours:
1. Initial "let's see if I can do X?"
2. Exiciting "oh, this is so cool, I wanna learn more!"
3. Demotivated "uhhhh... why can't I set my own key bindings, the editor shortcuts don't work for me…"
and I put it aside. :(

@keefeglise I do wonder when #glastonbury will get round to booking some live coders. Maybe next year will be @samaaron and #SonicPi's year?

Pretty happy with where I got to. It's the audio FFT, mapped onto a 3D-projected snakey thing, with a periodic parameter shuffle. Even got a palette-map poke in there.

Since I've been seeing quite a few more recent talk about #AlgoRave & #LiveCoding in my TL... Here is one of my own favourite live creations with @samaaron's amazing #SonicPi. The track is already almost 10 years old (in September) and was first premiered as part of my "We're the incanters" talk at Retune 2014 in Berlin... Good times & good people (incl. a sizable & entertaining faction of #Farbrausch present)

Well, my previous instance seems to have died while changing hosts, so let's do the intro thing again.
I'm a #composer and #performer of #experimentalmusic (I play #mandolin, #violin, #uke, #synths, and do interactive computer programming in #MaxMSP, #PureData, #SuperCollider, and #SonicPi). College prof in #MusicTech and #composition, where I get to teach #VideoGameMusic among other things. #Runner, #TTRPG fan, and #coffee aficionado, and I speak both #English and a decent amount of #French.
