ROS 2 Success with ReentrantCallbackGroups

Robot "Kilted-Dave" was not able to declare docking success from the dock callback because the battery_state callback was not allowed to execute to update the new charging state.

I had already setup callback groups but failed to initialize the battery_state callback group as reentrant.

Single line fix to a problem plaguing my #GoPiGo3 #RaspberryPi4 #ROS2_KiltedKaiju #robot since he was "Humble-Dave" on #ROS2Humble

Can I power a #RaspberryPiZero2W , via its dedicated USA- micro USB-A power port, from the USB-A port of a #raspberrypi4 , wherein the Pi4 is running on the official Pi power supply? I seem to see USB problems on the Pi Zero's 2nd USB-A micro USB data port (for connecting USB devices to Pi Zero) when the power to the Pi Zero is from the USB-A port of the Pi4. #RaspberryPi

Bevor ich versuche, den Shelly H&T per Software "an das Internet" anzubinden, wird er manuell in Betrieb genommen. Also eine Direktverbindung zwischen #Temperatursensor und #Smartphone.

Ich möchte auf meinem #Balkongarten über einen Sensor 7 × 24 die #Temperatur und die #Luftfeuchtigkeit messen und die Maximal- und Minimalwerte auf #Mastodon tröten.

Has anyone managed to make the #waveshare #ups #hat E work on a #raspberrypi4 ? I have no #i2c data from it at all. Pins look connected. Pi has power over the pins. But no i2c.

Soldered pins also do not work. i2c does not work for protected and unprotected batteries.

Ich möchte gerne einen #raspberrypi4 mit Audiointerface über #netjack2 ins Studio einbinden. Die Frage ist, welches OS für #lowlatency Audio geeignet ist. Ich dachte, #zynthian wäre wohl eine gute Option, aber vielleicht hat ja noch jemand bessere Vorschläge.

Today tried to restart my #Homeassistant OS on #RaspberryPi4 , but it got stuck. Turned off and on again, but nothing. So luckily I have nightly #backup•s.
I flashed a new SD card with HA OS 13 image, started the PI and tried to restore from Backup, but the spinner kept rotating forever. Reloading the page showed: nothig was restored. Tried again and looked at the browser dev tools. Saw a post req with status 400 and response payload indicating my passwd was wrong. 1/2

Unless you #selfhost your own #mastodon instance, or you're a #mastoAdmin, you have likely taken #fullTextSearch for granted.

Behind search for masto is a resource-hungry #java application called #elasticSearch. Sure you might be able to get Masto to run on a #raspberrypi4, but you won't be running elastic search with it.

Having recently moved my instance to a much more powerful system, I now run ES, and WOW what a difference being able to search post makes! Soooo many times I wanted to reference a toot that had scrolled by but had no way of finding it. Now I do!

Even though I've put some serious resource limits on ES, it's bar none the most resource intensive service running (out of around 25).

Please consider sending a few bucks to the #MastodonAdmin of your instance. Better yet, if you can afford it, sign up for a monthly donation. They need it.
