A number of Swedish #SJ type #Y1 railcars found their way to #Croatia from the late 1990s on. The Croatian Railways #HŽ registered them as Class 7122. One of them is seen here at #Zagreb main station in February 2018, still displaying its original brownish SJ livery, with just an HŽ sticker added.

#Split station, at a time when the powerful #HŽ class 2062 diesels (built in 1972) could still be seen on passenger services. The train on my photo, taken in August 2009, is the 19:38 local to Perković, composed of just two cars - not really a heavy load for the 2,200 hp loco.

#Zagreb main station, one late afternoon in February 2017: a #HŽ class 2044 diesel awaits departure. This is a westbound working to #Varaždin.
