#pc #gaming is really expensive nowadays.

I was looking for some high-end gaming configurations just for fun. Not that I am really interested in it.

But wow is playing games on a computer expensive today!

A gaming PC with an RTX 5080 would cost above 3.000 Euros.

And the same built with an RTX 5090 goes for over 4.000 Euros.

Both PC's would need more SSD memory, though. The CPU would be an Intel I9 or a fat AMD Ryzen. 32 GB of fast RAM. That's okay.

But no thanks! I stick with #gfn :-) ...

#games #gaming

Too many monthly payments for streaming (tv & games), so I quit #XBox #gamepass for good.

I still have the top tier from #sony #playstation5 and, when the #nintendo #switch2 arrives, their online pass, too. I also use #nvidia #geforce now and of course #steam. So with Stam I can buy a game that runs well on my #steamdeck and with high-end graphics, on #gfn. This is cool. And some games even run directly on #macos

That's enough, I think ... :-)

Bad games remain to be bad.

Halo Infinity doesn't run via #gfn causing a "runtime error" when choosing campaign mode.

This game sucks on every platform.

There is a reason why Microsoft didn't choose this game for multi-platform release on PS5 and Switch(2) in favour of Halo, the Masterchief Edition.

GFN surely is quite picky regarding games running on this platform. But most games, esp. the newer ones, run quite well.

One exsample.

I play AC: Odyssey via #gfn on my Mac Mini. I still find glitches like wooden cradles flying over the water in one scene. After so many years. The game itself runs great and looks fantastic.

I just started AC: Origins which cam prior and marked a change in AC-games. It runs great on PS5 and there it still looks awesome. On Geforce Now I can't change graphical settings. It resets them, crashes every time trying. No optimisation at all. What a shame.

No trust in #ubisoft games ...
