I was surprised/ excited the other day to find Western (Blue) Clematis growing a stone's throw from my fence, on the farm! I've seen it a couple of times before, but never right here- weird that I haven't spotted it till now, when it has clearly been there a few years- of course of out flower it would blend in with surrounding vegetation..

@plants #FlowersOnFriday the first #wildflowers of the year (not counting the poplar + willow catkins which were earlier) appeared over the last 10 days with more things daily as we've had warm days into 20sC/ over 70F (average is 15C/59F and we've had cooler days as well +some nights near /below freezing).
Last week I saw the first violets. Pics here + Youtube link, #Spectra #Peertube link to follow

More early #flowers still tiny, few and scattered, but they will pick up speed quickly, with the next couple of days forecast in the 20C/70F range (then down, then up...lol)- even *some* nights above freezing! The first golden Crocus, first Pseudomuscari barely a few cm tall and first Scilla, which probably came as seed in the soil with the Arabis you see at its base (pale/pink rosettes).
