I see my self as a #technologist but also a realist. I can see that somewhere down the road machines can take on some of the more advanced tasks #humans do with some training today. But humans have multiple sensors (ears, eyes) and has knowledge about driving conditions (the adaptive regen is dangerous on freezing rain) and so forth

Musk is exaggerating the #autopilot capabilities, as it can [only] do what most humans is capable of after first driving lesson.

I have been one of the useful idiots believing Tesla will advance in making the #Autopilot feature to be more safe and reliable. But still in 2025 this software is dangerous in itself,and it enforces auto wipers (must be manuallly deactivated) that does not work, phantom breaks and total non nonsensical speed limit regulation.

Yrs aft #Tesla driver using #Autopilot plowed into young Florida couple in 2019, crucial #electronic data detailing how the fatal wreck unfolded was missing. #information was key for wrongful death case the survivor & victim’s family were building against Tesla, but the company said it didn’t have the data. self-described #hacker, enlisted by plaintiffs to decode the contents of a chip they recovered from vehicle, found it. #Tesla later said in court that it had #data on its servers all along.
