Ambling along for 14.6km/9.1mi for today's walk in 20C/67F temps. 9'29" per km and lightly moderate 106 BPM (71%). I think I'm running a caloric deficit, and my body is saying: "There is this much energy available, and this is the max exercise that can be sustained until home." Eat more, exercise less. Sheesh.

And there you have it. 23C/74F for today's 14.6km/9.1mi walk. A pretty brisk (compared to yesterday) 9'05" per km and a heart rate that was 15 less than yesterday at a moderately light 104 BPM (69%).
I'm thinking one should not count on an iWatch for accurate physiological information.

Really wasn't feeling it for today's 14.8km/9.2mi walk even though it was a clement 12C/54F degrees. I dawdled along at 9'04" per km and managed to get the old heart going a lightly moderate 106 BPM (71%).
Turned out okay once I convinced myself to get started. Walking is good.

#TodaysWalk was up to St Margaret Pattens in the City, by way of Burgess Park and Peckham's peculiar bollards.

Earlier in the week, I went to Sydenham Hill Wood to look for the elusive Monkey Puzzle but, having found it, failed to announce to an eager world that I'd done anything of the sort.

I can only apologise for that, and hope that this will make amends.

A little cooler today at 15C/59F for a 14.4km/8.9mi walk. I lingered at 9'14" per km and a moderately light 100 BPM (66%). Sheesh, I know people who have a resting heart rate of 100 BPM.
Last day for the Brooks Ghost shoes. Nice cushioning, light-weight, but the fit was horrible. Back to the Hoka Bondis.

Rain was forecast for the last half of today's walk, so I cut it short at 12.7km/7.8mi. A really slow10'10" per km and a why bother calling it exercise 95 BPM (63%). It was a warm 22C/72F.
It did rain for 3 km, but then quit so the last km or so was accompanied by petrichor, which was pleasant.

As it's Good Friday, #TodaysWalk was cancelled and I have spent the day in timeworn fashion, morosely considering my buns and mulling the mysteries of other people's sins.

Earlier in the week, however, I wandered over to Brixton to check preparations for the Easter Egg Hunt, a tradition in which children perform futile fingertip searches of parks and gardens in the slender hope of nugatory, evanescent rewards, and thus prepare themselves for the World of Work.
