The Te Papa Museum in Wellington, Aotearoa is a "must visit" if you're in the area. There was a special exhibit during my visit about #Pasifika, which included on display the i'e toga that New Zealand gave to Samoa as an apology for killing independence #Mau movement leader, High Chief Tupua Tamasese, who was shot and killed by New Zealand police in Samoa during a peaceful march. This famous picture was displayed next to it.

Botanists and mycologists have collected and studied fungi from the subantarctic islands since 1840.
However, there is still much to learn about the mycoflora of these islands. Te Papa were fortunate to have a mycologist, Toni Atkinson, on their research team as part of the Strannik 2023 Auckland Island Expedition.
