🌿 New research alert from #Embed2Scale ‼️

💡 A new study by our partners at the University of Zurich demonstrates how super-resolution techniques using Sentinel-1 & Sentinel-2 data can significantly enhance existing biomass maps—offering 10m resolution estimates that are both more accurate and less biased.

#introduction
Hello #ScienceMastodon,

I am a Group Leader at IGC Portugal, and also an Honorary Professor at UCL UK

In the lab, we like to call ourselves Optical Cell Biologists. We develop #Microscopy technology to study cells and their viral infection at the nanoscale. To do so, we deploy novel #SuperResolution and #MachineLearning methods

We hold an ethos for making our methods easily available, reproducible and open to anyone

Post often about the lab, research we find cool and myself

Hi #science mastodon! My work boils down to this question: Is membrane-proximal #actin generating #diffusion barriers for #membrane molecules?

I am a PhD student of Helge Ewers at FU Berlin. I work in #neurons because actin forms very well-behaved rings there. My approach is combining #SingleParticleTracking of membrane proteins and #SuperResolution #microscopy of the #cytoskeleton via #STORM and #STED. Lots of #biophysics , #CellBiology and #neuroscience. #introduction #ScienceMastodon
