Hello @MonaApp and users of Mona, I just stumbled on a possible miscalculation of post length with many mention.

Mastodon web client says I still have 279 chars left, Ivory and Toot! show the same amount. Mona says I have only 2chars left for my reply. Do I miss something?

Danke für die Rückmeldung. So weit wie ich das sehe, kann ich mir nur meine persönliche Timeline und die Lokale anzeigen lassen. Die Auswahlmöglichkeiten in der App sind ziemlich begrenzt. Ich werde wohl mal die #MonaApp ausprobieren.

Can anyone tell me what this / means? Please.
It showed up at the bottom of my iPhone screen. The message reads ‘you have received an encrypted notification. Please restart device to restore decryption function.’ I’m not restarting anything in case this is some kind of malware or unwanted app or some such, until I know a lot more. The message seems to be from someone on mastodon as it came through MonaApp, which I use. #MonaApp #Encryption #iPhone @MonaApp

@fivetonsflax If you open ivories reply stream you may find LOTS of questions of this type (how to add / play audio to/from a posting) and the answer is the same for years now: it’s on the list 😉
Meanwhile you could try a different client for such things. Different apps offer different advantages / functions and downsides too. Sometimes using the share button on a posting to „open in … other app“ is nice

@blog Hier genauso 😄 freue mich jetzt über #MonaApp wobei es hier auch noch Dinge zu tun gibt. So habe ich nicht finden können, wie man direkt ein neues Foto aufnehmen könnte?! Kamera gibt es nicht, nur Bibliothek 🤔 die leseposition in den Benachrichtigungen/Antworten merkt sich Mona bei mir auch nicht was schade ist.

Ivory beobachte ich mit halbem Auge weiter.

@lb_ Hier auch wieder #MonaApp … #Ivory beobachte ich weiter, habe mein Abo aber erstmal gekündigt.
Bei Mona solltest du etwas Zeit einplanen um die Settings zu studieren und Dir das UI an deine Wünsche anzupassen. Da geht eine Menge!

@hashraydamon I cannot find such option in #ivory / #MonaApp / #IceCubes

But if you login to your account in a browser … in that web client just click on one posting from that instance, tap the “…” button and see the “block instance” option as the last item on that menu.

Not sure why none of the above clients has this option (or is so hidden that I cannot find it) 🤷‍♂️

Die Antwort eben auf meinen eigenen #hafermilch Beitrag konnte ich nur so verknüpfen, weil ich in #MonaApp im Profil meine eigenen Beiträge durchsuchen und so den Hafer-Beitrag finden konnte! Danke! In #Ivory hatte ich keine Chance den zu finden (oder es ist zu gut vor mir versteckt)

Ivory hat mich NUR wegen bisher fehlerfreiem merken der leseposition in allen Listen und den soften scrolling (wobei Mona da auch gut ist)
