@david I assume it’s not #ivory but iOS / macOS doing such corrections/replacements depending on context. I think it’s a default behavior of edit fields. Not sure if it’s possible to turn of just specific behaviors - probably turning of all automatic is possible but then no autocorrect would be there at all 
not sure if this would be a good thing or not 
If it’s @ivory doing it by itself I would be surprised but it would be very interesting how they do it
@ivory @tapbots hi, very minor inconsequential (to almost everybody besides type nerds) buglet:
If I type an opening quotation mark, then some text, then a closing quote, Ivory seems to randomly correct the straight marks to the proper “curly" quotes like here with the opener, and sometimes it does not.
"text" “testy" this is very erratic and unpredictable. Sometimes Ivory corrects the marks, sometimes it doesn’t.
"text” <— this is an example.
“Text" <— yep
"nope" <— no correction at all.
I didn't force any of these by typing opt+[ or shift+opt+[ to get the proper marks.
Anyway I don't know if the intention is to replace straight quotes or not. Just pointing out the behavior.

(Recently did a clean factory reset. 15.5)
In Ivory,I'm unable to get the mac to correct typos, using the right click/select contextual menu.
In Apple apps, I can right click, select correct word and click to swap it in.
But in ivory, the correct spelling isn't subsituted.
Check & Correct Spelling are both on, in Edit/Spelling & Grammer
Any thoughts?

Client hat sich abermals #Ivory durchgesetzt. Mal sehen, was hier noch so geht.
I use Ivory as my Mastodon app. D upped the character limit on our instance but the change is not showing up on Ivory. Tried reinstall with no effect. Anyone else have this issue? #ivory #mastodon #CharacterLimits
