On the topic of EBT / Food Stamps, I honestly do not know how anyone who does not have help can survive.
My mother tells me she only gets 215 for the month. 
Thankfully, she has people to help her, but not everyone has someone to help. With the food prices being so high, that cannot be easy at all.
My mother is a senior who, like most seniors, has a fixed income. She collects social security and EBT (food stamps).
On April 26-27, they are taking the whole EBT System OFFLINE. That has never happened before. They claim it is for "maintenance" and I am worried this is DOGE related.
She can rely on people, if worse comes to worst, but not everyone does. If you know someone who gets EBT / Food Stamps, I recommend they use them before that time.

When I finally was able to reach my #AlamedaCounty case manager to get my Medi-Cal restored, they said it was a mistake.
The reason given was I bought food with #EBT from Whole Foods, which is Amazon, which is in Seattle, WA ― so I must be living in Washington.
By that logic, since Safeway is an Albertsons Company, then they should have assumed I moved to Boise, fucking Idaho ― ten damn years ago!
Also, all my Medi-Cal bills are here in Alameda County.
Then they repeated every one of Trump's lies about massive fraud in Medicaid and Medicare.
Living in California doesn't mean you are safe as some believe.
Problem I did not anticipate-
I made the #cashapp and didn't expect someone to give me anything.
All my #income is usually on an #ebt card.
The only #bank I have has no locations in LA.
All my job income was cash or check.
I am locked out of my online banking. It needs a phone number authentication every new device, I don't have that number.
So I can't access anything on #cashapp until I call the bank and fix the number.
Oh well, I don't need it at the moment.
But I'm ANNOYED.
For anyone receiving #EBT, #Medicaid, #Lifeline phone service, #SSI, #SSDI, housing assistance & so on, this is problematic. Funds received over $600 annually will be reported. This means that the only means of having supplementary income without potentially losing assistance will be cash only.
This has been in the works for awhile. It used to be that side income could be up to $20k annually.
Anyone in the East Bay / Alameda County California familiar with how to navigate the food stamps program? A neighbor of mine is having a rough time and they will only give him like $50 a month in #EBT maybe bc he’s on social security, not sure. Feel like he should be getting more than that. Helped him out by getting him some groceries in the meantime but looking for a more long term solution. Also rec’d the food bank but he lacks transportation
