You should learn to be resourceful.

It saved me from being #homeless again today. If I wasn't well versed in how to protect myself, and use what is available to me, I would have been much worse off.

As sad as it is, the #usa is absolutely brutal to you if you suddenly find yourself in a crisis.

You need to be ready, and know what options are available to you. If you don't and a sudden crisis happens, you'll suffer much more.

Especially with how the US is going now.

So I am now homeless again.

An abusive security person was cussing out an old lady at the cwre facility I stay at.

I said something, and he called the supervisor and made a bunch of stuff up about me, who then believed them and got me removed.

I am glad I have some money for a hotel. I would be screwed otherwise.

Just another testimony to how absolutely broken care systems in the USA are.

I don't need horror movies as I have them play in my head every day after the childhood I went through.

It was nothing but abuse, and neglect. Being #homeless was better than being with my family in the end. My childhood prepared me for it. I was already covered in bugs and living in filth as a kid.

My father always blamed it on my mentally ill mother.

Things didn't get better until he remarried when I was about 12, and got her to clean.

We have created a world where people can become internally displaced and reduced to living in camps for the destitute and homeless.

Authorities attack these camps forcing out people who have nowhere to go.

But that could never happen here in Aus.

Could it?

These cameras are quite modern.

They include a ring of HD cameras in a 360 ring. They can optionally also have an added PTZ camera with significant zoom capabilities which enabled it to track a person at distances over one mile!

The cameras come with software for everything from tracking individual people to detecting "loitering".

Oh and they also have directional mics.

After Dark.
G.
"After Dark" is a drawing showing the city after dark, with four dark figures sleeping on a bench, close together for warmth. Where do people go if they have no home, no place,? They stay, in the dark the cold, sometimes hungry. Offices and church are closed, everyone else has gone home.

You know, ending up stranded in #losangeles due to a horrible relationship decision about a year ago was not a fun experience.

Being #homeless off and on in LA was also terrifying, and it isn't something I would repeat.

I also kinda hate the chaos at times, and miss the rain of the PNW.

But once I figured out all the hoops to get help, it was useful as there were more resources here than anywhere else.

Though I dream of rain.

I might end up in Portland again soon.
