She just sounds like The Worst. And the fact she has been with the party since Stephen Harper means the whole leadership is the worst.

“”Jenni is a bully who operates on threats. Many MPs are either afraid of her or hate her," one Conservative said.
"If Jenni stays, it means they don't get it," said a different source.
"Pierre needs to change his negative personality and kick Jenni out," another Conservative said. "Otherwise, it's the caucus that's going to kick the leader out."

CBCPressure mounting on Poilievre to fire campaign manager: sources | CBC NewsPressure is mounting on Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre to fire Jenni Byrne, his national campaign manager, whom critics hold responsible for the party’s election defeat last month, sources told Radio-Canada.

More evidence that Conservatism is a destabilizing force that throws every single one of us under the bus to benefit conservative leadership. They want to undermine our democracy.

They want you dumb and easy to manipulate, and they don't care how that affects your life as long as it improves theirs. You and I are a means to their end.

CBCConservative fundraising email suggests Liberals trying to 'tip the scales' in recounts | CBC NewsA Conservative party fundraising email alleges the Liberals are trying to “tip the scales” in riding recounts, language some political watchers say is concerning as some Canadians say they don't trust the results of last week's election.

My assessment is that Mr. Poilievre's approach to politics is based on *Free to Choose*; I don't think he personally has much interest in culture war issues.

That's not true for all members of the #CPC to be sure, but Mr. Poilievre won the leadership overwhelmingly.

And yes, Alessandro is correct that I see a great deal of continuity between the old PC party and the CPC of today, in policy, membership and personnel.

I didn't say there's no culture war -- my claim is that it wasn't what #PierrePoilievre was running on in the election. I'm glad that @alessandro agrees with me on that point.

@jfmezei says that culture war issues were a major part of what Mr. Poilievre ran on before the election. I don't think that's true either. He won the #CPC leadership largely on quality of life issues, e.g., youtube.com/watch?v=ye2DdH452r

Were trans issues a focus? Not according to cbc.ca/news/politics/poilievre

@jfmezei I don't remember anything about "wokeness" from the #CPC in the final week of the campaign. Maybe I missed something.

The Conservatives, rightly or wrongly, have a belief that the national press is hostile to them, and therefore that tight message discipline is key in order to talk about what they want to talk about. Imagine on day 20 you present a capital gains tax policy, but all the questions from reporters are about abortion, on which you've said in the past you're pro-choice...

Yes, it would be nice to have more inside story than what we go in that article. #Macleans used to do good campaign retrospectives, but I don't know if they still do.

As usual, you and I saw a very different #CPC campaign for some reason. Based on what I heard on #CBCradio, read in the newspaper, and saw on Twitter, the campaign was almost entirely about quality of life: housing costs, crime, lack of growth, inflation. You think it was all about culture wars and "anti-woke".

Mark Carney (Lib) has stated that he will not delay a by-election in #Alberta so that the #CPC 's leader #PP can run for a seat and return to his role as leader of the opposition in Canada's legislature.

When is Dani' Smith, who calls the official opposition #NDP in her province 'Fringe' because she is a disgrace, going to do the very least honour and THE LAW requires herself & call a by-election so that Naheed Nenshi can lead from Albertans' House?

In Canada, the AdF found a warm reception with CPC Members of Parliament.

“The AfD shop in anti-Islamic, anti-semitic, anti-immigration, Holocaust denying politics.

Despite this, three CPC MPs, Colin Carrie, Dean Allison and Leslyn Lewis, who has run twice for the CPC leadership, met with Anderson last week. They were photographed together and even sat down together for a meal.”

Allison and Lewis were re-elected. Carrie did not run.
