Baguette vending machines are A Thing in France. I tried one out, finally - one Euro for a cold baguette that was, to be honest, pretty good! Large, bit of a crust and yes, a little soft inside, but impressive and decent value!
Now all we need next to it are dark chocolate and red wine vending machines!
I mean, the problem isn't getting like a coin acceptor(even cheaper ones!) and a drop-in safe but like no affordable case and mechanisms for a cheap and smol vending machine....
Like I know a new machine - even the cigarette vending machines build up into the 2000s - costed 4 digits because they have like 2,5mm thick steel and shit to deter vandalism and burglary even if the prospective burglar has hours of time and can use anything but a thermal lance because that would burn away the cigarettes inside...
Still I think a #VendingMachine for small #tech stuff would be cool...
I still think a #VendingMachine not just for like #VPN's but private #TorBridges ( @torproject ) and like USB sticks with @tails_live / #Tails preloaded would be kinda awesome...

Good morning.

When I was a teenager running the streets at night, we seemed to know where all the vending machines were that were accessible late at night. I lived in a small unincorporated town, so the pickings were slim. There was a laundromat on Frontage Road facing California Highway 99. It had one of those machines with the slim door that opened, and bottles of soda pop were stacked a top of each other, each in its carrier. To get a bottle out, we would need to insert a dime, or maybe it was 15 cents. All soda bottles back then were made of glass and usually had a deposit included in the price. We had to pull the bottle out, the machine wouldn't let go without paying first. I was a Dr. Pepper fan back then. Sodas in glass bottles tasted better than in the plastic bottles of today.
