#FlashbackFriday
Marching with local citizens for #FreePalestine #PalestineSolidarity. They put me in front with some other disabled & mobility challenged folks, we set a slow marching pace.
There's been weekly rallies/protests every Saturday since October 2023.
“Our Time on the Lam”
A #FlashBackFriday to a time before illness, a little train trip to see a band, to look at some art, through the Sacramento Valley. Photos we took together. It was always a little like we were on the run.
Flashback zu als Sebastian Kurz den flächendeckenden Ausbau von Gratis-Kindergärten in Österreich torpedierte, weil das seinen politischen Gegnern Kern und Mitterlehner geholfen hätte:
A few years ago, when my husband and I spent a couple of months in India for his cancer treatment, we had the most amazing doctors and nurses taking care of him! As a small thank you gesture, I hand sculpted porcelain earrings and pendants for the nurses. Here is a pic of some of them.
I should have done this for #FlashbackFriday.
It's been 50 years, and I can't remember where?
But, in 1975. I was somewhere in Europe.
I was in need of a haircut for sure.
I still have all that hair though.
It's in a Zip-lock bag.
A Flashback Friday to the present: I still have my 100+ cassettes, my 200+ CDs, and my 3 working iPods with ~10,000 songs. Now I just need that compact reel-to-reel Walkman!
This week’s #80smusic #FlashbackFriday is Genesis “Turn It On Again” (1980) from their Duke album. This song is featured in Episode 33 of our podcast. #80s #Genesis
On this #FlashbackFriday look back at the historic solar storm of May 10th last year, a rare, magical alignment of Big Dipper with the dazzling Corona Borealis.

This one took the most research, it was bloody hard to find the original blank photo. Then I had to teach myself how to copy paste and get the lighting right. I dunno if I can pull it off again, first up best up #waltermittyproject #photography #PhotographyIsArt #flashbackfriday
Working with what I had, and a travel budget that allowed for a massive 50km radius from home, of the #waltermittyproject quintessene was the one I felt I nailed #flashbackfriday #flashback #photographylovers
Rumour has it that not long after this session the band broke up over creative differences, that and they were pretty shit musicians tbh #CoronaDiaries #flashbackfriday
A #FlashbackFriday post abt Memorial Day which still holds true for today:
“If you’ve ever met me in person, you would know that I am not prone to hyperbole. Panic and histrionics are not part and parcel of how I act or react to challenges and stress. I’m also an intensely private person who keeps her cards close to her chest. I prefer acting to speaking. In so saying, when I do speak, I choose my words carefully.”

https://www.hrc.org/news/flashbackfriday-today-in-1973-the-apa-removed-homosexuality-from-list-of-me
The resolution stated, “We will no longer insist on a label of sickness for individuals who insist that they are well and demonstrate no generalized impairment in social effectiveness.” The statement continued to say the APA supports “civil rights legislation at local, state, and Federal levels that would insure homosexual citizens the same protections now guaranteed to others.”

The #documentary film that I'm featured in is now available for #free viewing:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb4q_dXo7Bw
It includes footage & shared #deforestation issues with the #Amazon. It's all connected.
I'm holding back tears near the end of it. I was arrested a few days after doing the documentary film interview at gate to River & Landback resistance camps.
Thank you for this day.
One of my favorite things about taking walks around Chicago’s neighborhoods is finding vestiges of the mini-economies within — former storefronts that have been converted to housing. I squint and imagine what the corner must have been like in its heyday.
