The European Chief Prosecutor is currently working to prepare Poland's accession to the EPPO. She has asked for 24 European Delegated Prosecutors, which is a huge number. According to data from the 2022 annual report, Italy had the biggest number of EDPs: 16. The demand for 24 EDPs suggests the EPPO is preparing its biggest operation once Poland joins

Croatia has the highest number of convictions in investigations led by the European Public Prosecutor's Office, according to the 2022 Annual Report. This is a very interesting development. Another interesting fact is that Italy has the highest number of active cases (155), followed by Romania (120) and Bulgaria (104). Quite a number of participating States have 0 or single digit active cases and no convictions whatsoever
