I gotta wonder, having done SOC 2, SSAE16, SAS70 style reports for a lot of big companies. Does anyone read them?
My guess is no, cause I've never seen a company go "oh no, this SOC 2 report is terrible, we're cancelling all contracts."
Fairly simple question regarding #soc2 reporting:
Is it possible for an organization to decide not to do a type 1 assurance report and straight go for a type 2?
Or should one always do type 1 and then type 2?
