What a fucking loser, what a fucking traitor, what a fucking waster.
Imagine losing a byelection and the Local Elections within a year of coming to power....and thinking the only way forward is to double down and ignore everyone telling you that you're doing it wrong.
The arrogance, the toxicity, the hubris!
This man has worse ratings in the UK that Trump has in the US!
The Labour Front Bench today...
" “Stay cool, colleagues. We have a gigantic majority and acres of time before the next election,” one said."
It's like they saw how the Dems lost last November and thought to themselves "yes, we'll do what they did"
JFC, Labour have really, really blown it.
None of this is surprising either, we all feel it but No 10 refuses to acknowledge it, just talks over us and sucks up to the Rich and Fascists
And the worst thing is.....No 10 isn't going to change a thing after this result, not a single thing.
How DARE us proles make them change their plans, not going to happen, not going to let us 'win'
The utter contempt the Westminster parties have for the public.....
lol, who could have foreseen this.
Starmer is toxic now, if you actually want to stay in government you had better start thinking about ditching him.
You can do what the Canadian Liberals did, ditch the unpopular leader and get a new one who fights....or just fail.
Lol, how predictable.
Give the People nothing but 'more of the same' and they'll drop you like a dog turd.
Crossing my fingers, but without much hope, for a Lib Dem win on Hull & East Yorkshire. Lib Dems have the best ground game of any party but Reform have had a decently good night and are the favourite there.
The Reform candidate there actually is the least worst Reform candidate I've seen but … you know … Reform. Still don't want them to succeed.
Elsewhere the mayoralities have similarly bad results to Runcorn but as they're mostly nominally Labour holds they'll be treated differently.
FPTP also very nearly caused a disaster in the West of England mayorality. A Labour hold on 25% of the vote. Reform second, because five parties all reasonably viable.
Oh, great, Reform won Runcorn. By a sliver but still, the government's going to learn the wrong lessons from that. I was fearing worse but this is still bad.
Also Lincolnshire now has a Reform metro mayor. But that's Lincolnshire. I feel bad for Lincoln, reportedly a fairly normal place, but the county is ground zero for the far right. So this was priced in.
#LocalElections2025: #Labour deserves to get annihilated. #Starmer shoehorned into government. Taking the country for granted & barely discernable from #Tories. End the flawed 2-Party stronghold. Vote #Green. Vote #LIbDem. Vote The Rejoin EU Party if a candidate is standing in your area.
#RuncornAndHelsby: Vote #RejoinEU
"We've done nothing but copy Reform UK and now we're all out of ideas. Please, we're entitled to this seat...."
"Going Green now, Bye!"
I would have done exactly the same!
#LocalElections2025: Give #Labour the kicking they deserve! Vote the #RejoinEU Party where standing in your area.
You mean Austerity 2.0 isn't convincing you Protest Voters?
What if Labour whipped some Refugees in the street for you, would you vote Labour then?
But the thing is, the Labour government does not care. It does not listen to the Voters, it listens to Big Business and Trump
Voters will react accordingly, the idiots will Protest Vote for Farage but even more won't bother voting at all.
Again, Labour won't care, they won't change tactics, they are not agile thinkers like Starmer is not an agile thinker (he still think the US is our Fwend)
This could be quite the non-event.
Bare in mind two thirds of Brits still don't believe Trump's America is a direct threat to us, we are a slow people, the inertia is great.
At least we won't have enough Reform creep leering over the female staff at Westminster...(just a Labour one )
Sounds like justice was actually done when it came to Mike Amesbury and his victim. By-election time. Anyone got latest polling on Runcorn and Helsby? Game on! #RuncornandHelsby #mikeamesbury
