Lucas Lasota<p><a href="https://defcon.social/tags/RouterFreedom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RouterFreedom</span></a> is the longest policy/legal project I have been working so far. While the <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@fsfe" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>fsfe</span></a></span> started in Germany way back in 2013, I joined later the party in Feb. 2019 to cover the efforts at EU level after the 2018 reform of EU telecommunications law.</p><p>Having Router Freedom confirmed after almost 6 years in Germany is a great achievement, also in a personal level. I am very grateful to a LOT of people helping us with technical, legal, policy and community management advises. TIM's is charging at least 50k euro for allowing other operators to use their fiber modems (ONT) on TIM networks.
