If you were eligible to vote in 2016 and didn't vote for Remain then all this [gestures vaguely at the absolute state of the UK - economically and socially] is on you. There is a direct line from that vote to the poor economic conditions we now see, to the hardening of the right and pushing of the anti-migrant agenda, to the terrible government of the May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak period - including how Covid as bungled - and so on...

Labour’s reluctance to name #Brexit as the cause of so many problems hasn’t stopped Reform’s rise. The @greenparty.org.uk acknowledges that the #BrexistDisaster was utterly ruinous for the country and we need to #Rejoin NOW as the best way to defeat Reform. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

@europesays Not to Rejoin the European Union out of which the citizens of the channel islands were dragged on the whim of the citizens of Skegness then, so confiscating their rights of free trade & movement with the nearest coastline?

Channel Islanders, tell those doing the "urging" (notably Sir "Not in my Lifetime") you want to #Rejoin !

@feike
You are right.

And there is a complete wider picture, when UK #rejoin (s) EU.

The EU is more than a geographical continental institution.

So we always have renewable energy from the sun. It is only limited by our grid.😃

With predictable rapidity, Queer Harmer's obeisance before the puissant majesty of His Orange Highness has resulted in nothing except empty humiliation as the trade deal collapses before ever being implemented.

Why can't he realise that the only reliable partner is Europe. Both sides is not an option.

It's crazy that the British are still whining about the loss of their evil empire (which for most people was not democratic) and are proud not to be part of the #EU.

After all, it was Britain's most famous politician, Winston #Churchill, who expressed the idea of a federated #Europe in Zurich — in a country which has also never been part of the EU.

Was it supposed to be without #Britain? Of course not!

So, get over your #exceptionalism and #rejoin the democratic club!
