I am not making excuses for people who #FlyTip…it’s a terrible blight on our communities.

But less bin collections and making it harder to access local #refuse and #recycling centres surely plays a big part in all this?

I strongly suspect the desire to keep council taxes low for political gain, while privatising refuse services who offer less and less year on year is how we ended up in the awful mess.

"No! Never!" he said flatly. "I #refuse."
David turned and they walked back through the lounge where the Angels were sprawled out on pillows and couches.
"Well, if you won't rescue the cute little CuddleTums, then I guess they'll all just be eaten."
Bebe's ears perked up. "CuddleTums?" (2/2) #wss366

Knowing today that #recycling is basically a #capitalist #scam to push the responsibility for negative externalities on people rather #corporations -- it would seem continuing to engage the recycle scam is only making things worse.

What is under our individual control; however, is the ability to:

1. #REDUCE the amount of superfluous junk in your life.
2. #REUSE the junk you have -- you can reuse a plastic bottle just like a glass one.
3. #REFUSE to buy crap. Only buy things that last, can be repaired, and reused.

Done properly, the need to recycle items back into the corporate scam decreases to negligible levels.
