The #SeaEagle is back, patrolling its waters and cleaning up what the (illegal) #fishing industry leaves behind, but we can't save the Med alone.

Help us turn the tide.

Here's what you can do:
- Go plastic-free
- Choose natural materials when buying new clothes
- Eat plant-based
- Wear the Change
- And Support our Campaigns

It's not too late. But we must act now!

This is Mustefa Abekano.

He grows #coffee in the Jimma Zone of western #Ethiopia. The processing uses as little water as possible which leads to a light fermenting of the beans adding to it's sweetness.

Coffee from Ethiopia is often a net gain for the environment as coffee is native to it and most farmers have a family small hold that has been with them for generations. This particular coffee has a cupping score of 86 (high) and you can buy it from us in #plasticfree packaging roastinghouse.co.uk/buy-coffee

In April, it was announced that #wetwipes containing plastic would be banned following years of campaigns by #environmental groups and #Labour MPs.

However, it could be 2026 before it is enforced.

The announcement followed the phasing out of the ‘Fine to Flush’ certification so the advice is now to ‘Bin the Wipe’ not flush it. The problem was that even plastic-free wipes that are flushed down the toilet cause blockages in the sewage system because they are designed to not break down easily.

So, if you do use disposable wipes, always put them in the bin, even if they are #plasticfree.

Ethical Consumer · Are wet wipes flushable? | Ethical ConsumerEach year, 11 billion wet wipes are used in the UK, and most contain plastic.  Flushed into our sewage system, wet wipes are littering beaches, creating ‘fatbergs’ and adding to microplastic pollution in our seas.  With the UK government looking to ban plastic wet wipes in the next few years, we discuss the new law and what you should look for until it comes into place.

I did a video review of Paccari #Chocolates - the UK's most #ethical chocolate according to Ethical Consumer Magazine - and they gave me a 15% discount code for anyone to use. 🍫
