"The website is fully optimized for both desktop and mobile browsers, with user controls and UI components tailored for each device."
It's fun! Try it out!
You can now build durable, multi-step Async Workloads on top of #Netlify Functions, which I am really excited about. You don’t have to do infra management for them, maintain the state, set up a queue, etc.
Also really useful for AI workloads that require multiple steps, deal with transient issues, and need to be durable.

I've had a sudden spike in bandwidth on my #Netlify account (that powers Cybercultural.com), and it's not correlated with an increase in traffic. i.e. a 10x increase in bandwidth usage over past 2 days, which has triggered an extra fee at Netlify. I have emailed their support, but has anyone else seen bandwidth spikes unrelated to page views on Netlify? Could this be some kind of spam attack, or an AI bot bashing my site??
Spent a bit of time tonight hacking on a personal website. I used #Hugo as a static site generator, and deployed it using #Netlify. First time using either of these and I am really impressed. Hugo's speed is insane and definitely the biggest draw for me. One of my common complaints is that the web is getting slower even though it should be getting faster. Netlify was dead simple to use, reminds me of the first time I used Heroku back in the day.
Moving my websites from #Netlify to a traditional (and local to me) small legit non-VC business brought a lot of positive vibes, and a realisation.
Once again, Silicon Valley had convinced me that convenience should be the path to do more tasks in less time. As in growth at all costs.
But designing for the web is not like using a machine to wash the laundry. It’s more like cooking: takes knowledge, experience, a bit of artistry. Also, it takes the right amount of time.
I am currently looking for a new full-time remote position!
With 11 years of experience as a back-end lead engineer (not full-stack), I am specialized in Node.js APIs and CLIs.
Most recently I have been Netlify Build's and Netlify Plugins' technical lead for 2.5 years.
PS: No agencies nor external recruiters, thanks!
The #Internet needs to be more volunteer-run and fan-supported. I encourage everyone tech-savvy to make an effort to replace an ad-bloated website in their field of interest with a free #GitHub page, #Netlify, or something similar. You don't need to spend much money to create a difference.
Else volunteer for or financially support people/projects who can do so.
