So I have a sort of #DIYRepair ish sort of question. At least that's the closest hashtag I can think of. (I'm open to suggestions for others!)

My refrigerator keeps frosting over the coils very quickly now. Within a week the coils are pretty much covered in ice and within three months it's a solid block. It takes a long time to defrost, makes a mess, etc and is of course a problem since I can only fit a handful of my freezer stuff into a few small ice boxes. It also takes it quite a while to kick back on once I finish defrosting.

Is there something I can maybe do to keep it from frosting up so fast? I thought I would try DampRid just to see what would happen, but no-go. (I assume because too cold.) I tried putting an very thin oil on the coils, but still ice. What can I do?

Over time, Nintendo has actively restricted repairs by refusing to sell parts, withholding repair manuals, and making it harder for independent shops and DIYers to fix common issues like Joy-Con drift. That kind of repair gatekeeping goes against everything a good score stands for.
So we updated our scoring to better reflect repair access, not just repair theory, and the Switch took a hit.

My attempt to repair our fridge door was foiled.

The gold-colored screw on the left is inset into a plastic piece with insufficient gap to allow my socket to go around the head. I tried forcing it a bit but had to give that up for fear of breaking it. I also tried using pliers but although I could get a grip I could not turn it.

Any suggestions for what I could use to get this off? They obviously screwed it on at the factory so there has to be a solution. Help greatly appreciated!
