Oh great, the Supreme Court responded to the Trump administration's request to delay Kilmar Abrego Garcia's return and the Supreme Court just ruled today that he doesn't have to be returned yet.

Lawyers in the case have 24hours to submit additional arguments to the SCOTUS.

Also, these reporters need to stop saying people were "mistakenly" deported, absolutely journalist malpractice.

Finally, a judge is demanding the return of a man illegally deported to El Salvador. The judge says he must be returned to the US by next week. The Trump administration is showing no signs of complying with the order and have made the usual offensive maga vommit.

None the less a critical showdown is brewing that will show if the courts have any power to stop this crap.

The Guardian · Federal judge rules return of Maryland man mistakenly deported to El Salvador prisonBy Guardian staff reporter

A young Mexican lawyer with a valid visa to the US to care for his ailing mother was recently put in an ICE prison in Tacoma, WA and is slated for deportation.

Those who are able to court watch on December 4th at 8am should consider showing up for Tony.

Alright, that's a wrap for the Seattle I-5 protest pre-trial. Hearing for two defendants(out of 6) got rescheduled to September 4th. Not much to report today but seems like the I-5 six will be facing obstruction and failure to disperse charges, so should be fairly small potatoes overall.

Always a good court watch when the judge asks if I'm a defendant there for trial and I get to tell them that no, I'm here to court watch for my comrades.

It's a pretty busy week of court watching in the PNW. Fedi's own @alissaazar is also facing charges in court today.

Meanwhile 46 activists will be in court tomorrow for protesting at Seattle's SeaTac airport.

If you've got the ability to go court watch please do. Judges, much like cops, are on their best behavior when enough people show up to document their bs jobs.

Heading to the pre-trial hearing for pro-Palestinians activists accused of blocking traffic and abandoning their vehicles on I-5 earlier this year.

Today's hearing is fairly procedural so not expecting many developments but I'll update if anything interesting happens.

The legal defense fund for Seattle's Pro-Palestine protesters is nearing 80% raised!

It's not enough to protest in the streets and online, when the police state shutdown our 1st amendment rights, we must fight them in court and support those who caught charges.

Untold numbers of activist settle or take plea deals instead of fighting, I'm so proud to see that our community is supporting these activist!

Can we get them over the edge?
