The Cape Town mountain fire visible from our house tonight. My phone camera doesn't show how dramatic it is, it's hanging over us and it's strung out all the way along the mountain.

(we're too far from the fire to be in danger, about 3km with an estuary between us and the fire, but people closer to it are having to evacuate)

We bought some feta and spinach pies from Woolworths and drove to the beach. The beach was too busy so we drove on a few minutes and found a quiet spot to have our lunch. #CapeTown
