BlueBuild<p>You can thank `bootc`, `/usr/lib/bootc/kargs.d/`, and <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@fiftydinar" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>fiftydinar</span></a></span> for your new ability to include kargs in your native container image.</p><p>Just make sure to update with `bootc` instead of `rpm-ostree`.</p><p>Check it out!</p><p><a href="https://blue-build.org/reference/modules/kargs/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">blue-build.org/reference/modul</span><span class="invisible">es/kargs/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/BlueBuild" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BlueBuild</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/FedoraAtomic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FedoraAtomic</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Containers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Containers</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/OCI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OCI</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fedora</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/imagebased" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>imagebased</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/bootc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bootc</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/BootableContainers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BootableContainers</span></a></p>
korvroffe<p>As I understand it it's basically pointless trying to create an ISO from a <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/bluebuild" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bluebuild</span></a> package (based on latest and/or f40) due to <a href="https://github.com/JasonN3/build-container-installer/issues/127" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/JasonN3/build-conta</span><span class="invisible">iner-installer/issues/127</span></a> which makes the only way of installing being to install <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/universalblue" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>universalblue</span></a> or <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/silverblue" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>silverblue</span></a> first and then rebasing, which gives a sub-optimal experience on a fresh installation (eg due to flatpaks and automatic updates (for silverblue) not being automatically installed). Can anyone confirm? Did I miss something? <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fedora</span></a></p>
korvroffe<p>So the <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/silverblue" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>silverblue</span></a> signing key bug has really messed up my workstation. The suggested fix didn't work (newer images wouldn't boot, same error). Even reinstalling my <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/bluebuild" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bluebuild</span></a> image by generating a new iso on <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/github" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>github</span></a> doesn't work. Really annoying and doesn't reflect well on <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fedora</span></a> at large. Considering my options - might try to make a new bluebuild repo but this sure is tiresome. :blobcatcry:</p>

Jerry<p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/BlueBuild" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BlueBuild</span></a> just released a new caching update! With these changes all you need to do is move your recipe files from `./config/` to `./recipes/` in your image repo. Fedora Project<p>The world of Fedora Atomic grows with **BlueBuild**, a spin-off of <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@UniversalBlue" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>UniversalBlue</span></a></span> that is a newly independent project!</p><p>If you've been wanting to build or maintain your own custom image of Fedora Atomic Desktops, this may be another way to explore that interest. Instead of editing a containerfile, you work on a recipe that is then transformed into a containerfile to make the process of getting started easier.</p><p>➡️ <a href="https://blue-build.org/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">blue-build.org/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/BlueBuild" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BlueBuild</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/uBlue" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>uBlue</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/FedoraAtomic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FedoraAtomic</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fedora</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/OpenSource" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OpenSource</span></a></p>
