Announcing Biomni — the first general-purpose biomedical AI agent. Biomni is a free web platform where biomedical scientists can immediately delegate their tasks to Biomni.
Biomni is an open-source initiative: we invite the community to build on it and advance biomedical research at scale.

The 2nd NSLP 2025 Workshop is now underway at #ESWC2025!
Room 3 – Aurora III, Floor 0
NSLP brings together researchers focused on the processing, analysis, transformation, and utilization of scientific language and Research Knowledge Graphs (RKGs).
From papers to structured knowledge — this is where AI meets scientific publishing.
New blog post: How chaotic is chaos? How some AI for Science / SciML papers are overstating accuracy claims.
OpenAIRE is co-organising the NSLP 2025 Workshop on Natural Scientific Language Processing & Research Knowledge Graphs, taking place on 2 June 2025 in Portoroz, co-located with ESWC.

The #EU must take this seriously and support the application of #AI4Science – no pooling, double-tagging or leveraging, new money is needed.
A thread on #AI4Science: It has been a week of #AI events. First at #Swisscor and then at @euractiv
Some take-aways:
If you are in Brussels and interested in #AI4Science, this event should be for you.
I am looking much forward to giving the #university perspective
Looking forward to reading the University World News special report on #AI4science

The #EU Commission has published guidelines for using #generativeAI in #research. Mostly non-surprising content. It is noticeable, however, that there is a strong recommendation to "implement locally hosted or cloud-based generative #AI tools that [research performing organisations] govern themselves", instead of using #bigtech providers.
Great bibliometric evidence from the @EU_ScienceHub about #AI4science
China is leading in quantity, but not quality.
The EU's #AIAct will have little direct implications for #research, but good practices of risk management could trickle down to #Science
“We need to facilitate a discussion about what the real issues are [concerning #highered #research and #AI]. What do we know, what do we need to know? It’s been a year of experimentation, really. We can begin to share the outcomes of that experimentation, maybe share a bit about the methods of that experimentation,”

In the US, an impressive range of stakeholders is piloting a common platform (training, data, computing) for #AI4science - inspiration for the European discussions about a 'CERN for #AI?
