1. why did you not reuse parltrack published data instead of writing your own scraper?
2. how does this compare to other similar solutions, like mepwatch.eu?

@parltrack Thanks! When we started working on HowTheyVote in late 2019, we weren’t aware of Parltrack. Since then, we’ve been following your project with great interest.
We see HowTheyVote as a complementary project rather than as competition to other projects in this space. 1/2
@parltrack HowTheyVote has a narrow scope, aiming to provide an intuitive, searchable user interface for vote results. Because of this, we don’t collect some of the data Parltrack does (like committees) and instead try to integrate additional sources (such as press releases) to provide more context about votes. Unlike other projects, we don’t provide advanced tools for analysis.
