I haven't been online much lately the last 2 weeks or so, & it is because our house is being renovated, & also, I'm in the middle of painting a really complex fantasy scene for a family in Texas that I am looking forward to finishing & debuting, hopefully in the next 10 days it should be done. It is a really time-consuming one & has required me to devote to it the vast majority of my time every day #art #artwork #painting #paintings #wip #workinprogress #handmade #illustration #creating #create

A good friend asked me to play at his birthday party along with a few other folk. One of the things he does is every now and again send me links to YouTube videos of various funk tracks. And when he asked me to play, he said I had to play something funky.
Now, if you know my music, you'll know that 'funky' isn't an adjective that normally springs to mind.
But I *did* have this one old track.
So, 4 days before the gig, I thought I'd dig it up, prep it & learn it.
It went pretty well - though my brain to fingers comms need to get a bit quicker. But I'm thinking of keeping it in the live set.
I know it needs a bit more work (the improv solos are a bit ropey!), but it's nice to keep a record of where it started out live - even if it does expose my sloppy playing to the world (or, at least, the dozen folk who may watch this video...).
What do you think? Is it a keeper?

So happy with how it’s coming along. Need it a bit drier to add the rest of what is happening (adding capuchin monkeys holding things to try to tempt her)

okay, back from travels and somewhat back to normal after a cold. walking back into the studio again and ready to get to work.
En pleine phase de déconstruction numérique (comprenez mon changement de paradigme par rapport à l’#hightech ), mes pratiques ont évolué :
1. Au revoir #AppleWatch
2. Pas de renouvellement de #smartphone (jusqu’à présent, je les conservais seulement deux ans…)
3. Fermeture des services #google et ouverture d’une boîte mail chez @posteo.de
4. Fermeture de mon compte #microsoft 365 et transition sur #LibreOffice
5. En cours : suppression des logiciels / applications disponibles uniquement pour #iOS / #macOS
6. En cours : acculturation au monde du #libre
Mais, il y a encore du taf… #workinprogress 
My sister told me that she thought this magnet seemed unfinished, which was honestly true. So I spent a lot of time and energy redesigning it.
I’m so much more happy with it now!
It will be released along with my upcoming coral reef collection!
