🌍 Work from home isn’t dying — it’s the new default for millions 🧑‍💻🧠

A massive global study led by Stanford economist Nicholas Bloom found:
📊 WFH levels have stabilized worldwide since 2023
🌐 Hybrid is most common in the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, and other individualistic societies
💼 Companies benefit: a 35% drop in quit rates when employees can WFH 2 days/week
🧠 Productivity holds steady; retention and savings go up
🏢 Full in-office mandates? Increasingly out of sync with data

Fast Company · A massive Stanford WFH study reveals where the policy is popular—and why: Q&AWork from home is “the new norm” says Stanford economics professor and lead author Nicholas Bloom. But not everywhere.

Since moving ALL* my cacti and succulents from my office to my bedroom, they are doing SO much better! Clearly south facing window was too much for them.

Anyway, I am left with a whole empty window ledge that I am wondering what to fill it with.

Suggestions please?

But you have to come to Teh Office because I need to use the whiteboard to draw a rectangle while I'm saying words and then I can point to the rectangle so that you understand the words I just said.

Entrepreneur · 'It's Been Fantastic for Us': Zillow's CEO Says His Company Is Sticking With Remote Work Despite JPMorgan and Walmart Mandating a Return to the Office. Here's Why.By Sherin Shibu

I'm incredibly lucky in that my job is really flexible and I spend a lot of time either out on site or working from home.

Today though, I'm in the office, and bloody hell I cannot get ANYTHING done. Constant distractions, constant interruptions, constant "can you just".

If I ran an organisation, the last place I'd want my staff is in an office. The place is a productivity killer.

Quite a productive day off. I built a desk and tried my hardest to cable manage it all.
I'm enjoying the extra space and look forward to standing more often.
Desk is an updown klik desk. Pheasantwood 150x75cm.
Building the desk was the easy part for sure 😅
