I know Vmware workstation v15.5+ should be able to run Vmware machines even with <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/hyperV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>hyperV</span></a> enabled, and it can, but they are absolutely dog slow. like ... easily 5-10 times as slow as they'd otherwise be. I know I can just turn hyperV off and on or use WSL1 but toggling hyperV to my knowledge requires a reboot each time, and WSL1's filesystem IO is pretty horrendous as well. But I'm tired of such workarounds.</p>
