A large birch tree, whose main trunk divides into three branches at a height of 1.8 m, dominates the picture. The main trunk is largely hidden by a still-blooming rhododendron bush. A shaded grassy meadow and an unshaded, lighter meadow area can be seen in the background. The birch tree is also in shadow. The trees on the horizon are only partially visible and also not shaded, and therefore a lighter green than the birch.

One of my favorite trees because it's so incredibly strong. An oak tree that, at just over a meter high, has such a large bend that it stands parallel to a green meadow dotted with buttercups and white flowers, whose green will soon be no darker than that of the May-green oak leaves. In the foreground is flowering cotton grass, typical of moors.
